THE HEART OF OUR GATHERING

Every loss has a story.
Yours matters.

Grief is not limited to bereavement. We can grieve relationships, pregnancies, friendships, opportunities, financial security, dreams, identity — and the versions of ourselves we once knew.

Surviving Loss is a women’s healing experience created for honest conversations, shared experiences and the gentle possibility of rebuilding our lives.

Awande, author of Surviving Loss

A story of grief, faith, and finding life again.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Meet Awande.

Awande is the author of Surviving Loss, a deeply personal book born from her own experience of miscarriage, grief, faith, and healing. Through her story, she hopes to remind women that although loss can change them, it does not have to define the rest of their lives.

Her journey has not always been easy. She has experienced seasons of heartbreak, financial hardship, motherhood challenges, and profound loss. Yet through every chapter, she has continued to rebuild, grow, and pursue her purpose.

As a mother to her rainbow son, Awande is deeply driven by her desire to create a meaningful legacy for her family and to encourage others who may be walking through difficult seasons.

Her message is simple:

You can survive what broke you.
You can heal from what hurt you.
You can grow through what you have been through.
And you can become the woman you were always meant to be.

Today, Awande continues to build her businesses, write, speak, and create spaces where women can find encouragement, hope, healing, and empowerment.

She is not just telling her story — she is using her story to help someone else find their way back to life.
